[News] Reinforced To Release Its Back Catalog In Digital Format

This has me all excited i still love digging out those classics and finding new ones. The sad part is thought i doubt that i will purchase any of these in digital format due to the weak dollar.

"EPM are very proud to announce that legendary drum n bass imprint Reinforced Records catalogue will now be represented digitally for the first time. The Reinforced catalogue boasts over 1000 titles with 200 plus 12" releases (a great achievement for an independent label) and most of these have never been available in digital format...until now!

Reinforced Records has been home to artists such as 4hero, Manix, Tek9, Rufige Kru, Goldie, Doc Scott, Nookie, Nebula 2, Peshay, Randall & Flex, DJ Stretch, Teebone, G-Force & Seiji, Alpha Omega, Nucleus & Paradox, Sonar Circle and many others.

4hero (Reinforced's Marc Mac and Dego) went on to win a Mobo award and a Mercury prize nomination for their productions on Giles Peterson's label Talkin' Loud after their 1994 Reinforced release 'Parallel Universe' won NME album of the year. Goldie with the backing of Reinforced went on to release the classic 'Timeless' album while becoming the official ambassador for Drum & Bass during the process.

Through the whole of the 1990s, Reinforced earned and deserved a reputation as the most important and innovative Drum n' Bass label in the world. Their limited-edition 'Enforcers' picture discs are worth more than gold! Its fair to say that many of the scene's most important producers started their careers with a Reinforced release or 2, under the watchful eyes of Marc Mac & Dego, their can be no doubt that they created the blueprint sound for the future generation.

"Reinforced Records are delighted to be working with EPM, it's a great moment for us, finally classic Reinforced material will be available digitally."
(Reinforced Records)

"For us, Reinforced are the benchmark of forward thinking, independent labels. From early rave anthems such as Mr. Kirk's Nightmare to Nu Era's deep Detroit style techno and countless milestone Drum n Bass releases, Reinforced have been a constant inspiration. If only all labels were this good."
(Jonas Stone/EPM)

The first batch of Reinforced releases includes 10 classic albums available digitally for the first time on September 1st. From the ground breaking Enforcer series compilations to 4hero's compilation of early plates that includes Reinforced's first ever release and albums from Nookie, Manix and G-Force & Seiji this is the blueprint of drum & bass."
